What's Proposed?
An Amendment to the Zoning By-law is proposed to permit the development of a 5,311 sq. m 'paint and blast' facility with attached storage shop, 930 meters of additional railway, a new access road and parking lot, a stormwater management facility and other improvements to site infrastructure.
The site would be developed in accordance with an approved Site Plan Development Control Agreement, which would include fencing along the northern boundary of the site and a landscaped berm to screen the site from nearby residential uses.
The applicant has requested a rezoning of the northern portion of the lands from an Interim Use 1 (IU1) Zone to a Light Industrial 1-3 (LI1-3) Zone to permit the proposed development.
The following were submitted in support of the application and are currently being reviewed by staff and agencies.
