Consultation has concluded

The City of Sarnia wants to know what you think about the airport and its importance to the community and the local economy.

Background

At its meeting on September 14, 2020 Sarnia City Council received the Economic Development Strategy which recommended that the City set up a process to sell the airport in a manner that benefits the community and generates revenue for the City. It was also recommended that the revenues be reinvested in Sarnia’s waterfront or business parks to generate economic growth. Sarnia City Council then passed another motion at its meeting on October 26, 2020 to ask the community for input on the future of the Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport.
