By-Law to Temporarily Delegate Powers and Duties of Council

Notice is hereby given that at its meeting to be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, Sarnia City Council will give consideration to a By-Law to Temporarily Delegate Powers and Duties of Council during the period between July 26, 2022, and November 14, 2022.

Council, at its meeting held on February 8, 2021, adopted that Sarnia City Council will not hold meetings starting after Nomination Day, except in a case of emergency.

The proposed by-law seeks to temporarily delegate certain powers and duties of Council during the Election Period.

The proposed by-law is available for viewing in the 'Documents' section of this page.

Questions and comments regarding the proposed by-law can be directed to the Office of the City Clerk, at 519-332-0330, ext. 3320 or by e-mail to clerks@sarnia.ca.

Written comments regarding the proposed by-law are requested to be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, July 18, 2022, in order to be included in the final report for Council's consideration.
