Consultation has concluded

At its meeting scheduled for Monday, December 13, 2021, Sarnia City Council will give consideration to the extension of the temporary relief measures provided through By-law 72 of 2020 which expires on December 31, 2021.

The extension of the current relief measures would allow businesses to continue to occupy areas that are normally required to be protected for on-site parking and landscape open space, for the purposes of temporary patios.

Under the temporary relief measures, no municipal approvals are required for the installation of temporary patios on private property provided they are less than 0.3m off the ground and do not include a tent larger than 60 metres squared.

Questions or comments can be directed to the Planning Department at 519-332-0527, extension 3301 or by e-mail to planning@sarnia.ca by Monday, December 6, 2021.
