Proposed Amendment to the Business Licensing By-Law

Notice is hereby given that Sarnia City Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, will give consideration to a proposed amendment to the Business Licensing By-Law #128 of 2017.

The proposed amendments would eliminate initial and first re-inspection fees, eliminate the need to show proof of Fire Code compliance within the last twelve (12) months to obtain Business License renewal, and allow Sarnia Fire Rescue Services (SFRS) to schedule inspections within a risk-based framework.

Written comments regarding the proposed amendment should be submitted to Sarnia Fire Rescue Services no later than noon on Monday, July 18, 2022, by email: firerescue@sarnia.ca or by mail to Fire Station 1, 240 East St. N, N7T 6X7.
