Consultation has concluded

In response to the following motion adopted by Sarnia City Council on October 4, 2021, amendments to the Procedure By-Law have been drafted to reflect Council’s direction to implement a ‘Hybrid’ Meeting format on a trial basis upon returning to in person meetings:

That upon returning to an in-person meeting format, that Sarnia City Council adopt the same pilot project as Lambton County Council for one year and allow the new Council to determine the way forward after this time period.

Copies of the proposed amendments, as well as a consolidated copy of Procedure By-Law #159 of 2019 are available in the ‘Documents’ section of this page.

In accordance with the Notice Policy, 21 days’ public notice is required prior to adopting amendments to the Procedure By-Law. Council will give final consideration to the draft by-law at its regular meeting scheduled for November 22, 2021.
